Promoting pollinator-friendly sites in your local area and homes is an easy and beautiful way to support biodiversity.
I have created a video and webpage to show how you can support biodiversity in your local area.
In 2018, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Council developed a strategy to reduce the use of pesticide in our community. Your area can strive to do the same. Parks, roadside verges, and green spaces all have the capacity to support biodiversity. Read the guide to find out how you can:
- Ban the use of pesticide and herbicide in your area.
- Request the Council to turn your local park into a pollinator-friendly site or wild flower meadow.
- Support pollinators at home.
